Barkley Fall Classic – 2019 Edition

Eastern States 100

Prologue. If someone would have asked me weeks, or even months, before this event if I could run a sub 3:50 marathon, the answer would have been a ‘No’. I have not been running before this event. Whiteface Sky Race

July 21, 2019. Still the hardest short distance race I have ever done. 15 miles with 8k feet of elevation gain. And most of that 8k feet of elevation gain comes from under 5 miles of ascent. 2.3 miles climb up Whiteface Mtn with 3.3k feet gain, then 2.3 miles down back to the base. Twice. Breakneck Point Marathon

August 18, 2018. Leadville 100 Trail Run Race. DNF. If the altitude does not hit you, the aggressive race aid station cut-offs will. This is LT100 Run Race. If you DNF-ed in a race because you missed the cut-off, without any injuries or because of medical reasons, you just didn’t train enough for this race. Plain and simple. First Impression – Naked Running Band

Wow!  No bounce.  Really. My order from RunningWarehouse just arrived today.  And I took it for a quick 6 miler.  I stuffed things in it – 600ml flask, gels, more gels, phone, and went for a run.  I did some strides, jogged, sprinted, and settled on my tempo speed.  No bounce.  Really.
