Did you know that there is a pedestrian-only walkway that go over the Hudson River?
There is!
Walkway Over The Hudson is an old railroad bridge built in 1889, converted to a pedestrian-only walkway in 2009, going over the Hudson River connecting Poughkeepsie, NY and Highlands, NY. It is 212 ft above the Hudson River, and is 1.28 miles from one gate to the other. It is open from 7am to Sunset, except for special dates where the gates are open on extended hours.
This is one of those dates – Walkway at Night.
